Meet Road to Game Day: Your Event, From Setup to Game Day, on One Page

Know exactly where your event stands, every step of the way.

Getting an event ready has always meant knowing which setup pages to visit and what to look for on each one. If you’ve run a lot of events, you know the routine. If you haven’t, it’s easy to miss something.

Road to Game Day changes that. It reads your event’s actual data, checks it live, and tells you in plain English what’s done and what still needs you. It’s the new home for setting up and checking your event.

It Checks Your Event, Not Just Your Settings

Road to Game Day asks the questions a seasoned director would ask:

  • Are fees set and online payments ready?
  • Is the schedule published?
  • Is any field booked for two games at once?
  • Has every scorekeeper logged in?
  • Are there finished games with no score?

Because it looks at your real teams, games, fields and payments, it finds the problems that actually cost you on game day – the double booking, the missing score, the unpaid balance.

Six Phases, From Setup to Next Year

Road to Game Day splits your event into six phases and opens on the one you’re in now, based on your event’s dates. You can look at any phase at any time. The phases are a guide, not a gate.

The Road to Game Day page showing six phases, with the event in Phase 4: Readiness, and three urgent items under Next up

Road to Game Day opens on the phase you’re in, with your top three next steps
right below – including anything still open from earlier phases.

Phase 1

Set up

Registration dates, ages and genders, the application, fees, payments, staff and confirmation emails.

From the day the event is created

Phase 2

Registration

Applications waiting on you, the wait list, balances due, and teams that still owe their scheduling conflicts.

While registration is open

Phase 3

Scheduling

Checks the schedule itself: double-booked fields, teams in two games at once, too little rest, and changes not yet sent.

After registration closes

Phase 4

Readiness

Scorekeepers who haven’t logged in, teams not checked in, documents to review, and venues missing a map address.

From schedule publish to the first game

Phase 5

Game day

Watches your event live for unscored games, stuck tiebreakers, open bracket spots and unsent schedule changes.

While games are being played

Phase 6

Wrap-up

A short survey, your SincSports balance, and setting up next year’s event.

The two weeks after the last game

Items only show up when they apply to your event. If you don’t take payments online, you won’t see payment checks – and the same goes for online check-in, background checks, referees and QR score entry.

See the Problem, Fix the Problem

Look for the checkered flag in the top menu of your event. The badge tells you at a glance whether anything needs you, and the same summary appears across the top of your event dashboard.

●Red: something is urgent ●Orange: something to review ●Green: nothing needs you

How it works

  1. Start with “Next up.” The page opens on your current phase with the top three things to do, plus anything still open from earlier phases.
  2. Open any item. Each one tells you why it matters, what to do, and shows the actual list behind it – which teams, which games, which venues.
  3. Fix it in one click. “Fix it” takes you straight to the right page, and coming back returns you to where you left off.
  4. Or fix it right there. Email every team with a balance due, find map pins for venues, set your score-entry password, or rebuild a group stuck on a tiebreaker – without leaving the page.

It Gets Louder as Game Day Gets Closer

Early on, Road to Game Day is a checklist. As your first game approaches, items move from information to “review” to “urgent.” On game day, it watches your event live.

Phase 4 also gives you a game-day card with your score-entry password, scorekeepers and director contacts in one place – so the answers to the most common game-day calls are right in front of you.

It Never Gets in Your Way

Nothing on the page is locked or required. If you already know about something and it’s fine – say your event allows a player on two teams – mark it OK and add a note if you like. If the number goes up later, the item comes back on its own.

Built for Every Director

New to running events? The steps come in the right order, in plain language. You don’t need to know where everything lives in SincSports to get your event ready.

Been doing this for years? Use it as your final check. It’s one place to confirm everything is in order and catch the things that slip under pressure.

And when the event is over, Wrap-up ends with setting up next year’s event, so you’re ready to go again before the season gets away from you.
